Lab Re-Location Update: 8th of May 2024

We extend our apologies for the prolonged delays in releasing your reports during the laboratory relocation period.

SGS has encountered several unexpected challenges in validating instruments following the lab transition from Conwy to Ellesmere Port. This process has taken significantly longer than anticipated, adversely affecting our initial transition plans. As we cannot compromise on the quality and integrity of data, we have decided to activate our contingency plan B while we work towards getting the new Lab fully operational —which we are near that stage now.

To mitigate further delays, we will be redirecting a substantial number of incoming samples to an alternate laboratory for analysis. This move, pre-approved by certain clients, will allow us to dedicate more resources to addressing the existing backlog.

This strategy will afford the new laboratory the necessary time to complete the validation of all instruments and focus on processing the most urgent samples in the backlog. We anticipate this phase will take roughly two weeks (to resolve the current backlog). We ask for your patience during this period. Afterward, we will resume normal processing of your samples.

On a brighter note, the new lab is now processing samples at an increased pace, and you should begin to receive your sample reports within the next two weeks.

Kind regards,

The Lubetrend Team
